Introduction

Dusk ("the App") is developed and operated by MDM ("we," "us," or "our"). Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

Data Stored on Your Device Only

The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any external server:

Gratitude journal entries
Mood check-in history
Custom routine configurations
Streak and usage progress

Third-Party Services

Apple HealthKit — With your explicit permission, Dusk reads sleep data to display Sleep Insights. We never write to HealthKit, and this data is never sent to external servers. HealthKit data is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.
RevenueCat — Manages subscription status by processing your Apple ID purchase receipts. Privacy policy
PostHog (EU) — Anonymous product analytics (feature usage, screen views). No personally identifiable information is collected. Data is hosted in the EU. Privacy policy
Sentry — Crash reports including device model, OS version, and stack traces. No personal content is captured. Privacy policy

What We Do Not Collect

Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
Location data
Contacts or photos
Advertising identifiers (Dusk contains no ads)
Journal entry content (stays on-device)

Subscriptions

Dusk offers a premium subscription at $7.99/month or $49.99/year, each with a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's App Store and your Apple ID. We do not have access to your payment information. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Data Retention & Deletion

All personal content (journal entries, mood data, routines) is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes this data permanently. Anonymous analytics data in PostHog is retained for 12 months and then automatically deleted. To request deletion of any analytics data, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

Dusk is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
